Allegedly it helps to know what your recipient likes and doesn't like. Actually it defintiely does. Though as I say in the beginning of pretty much every Dear Author letter, write what you want to write, because what you want to write is likely to be the most awesome thing you can write, so the following is a guide. So. I posted (in a locked post) a while back talking about writing sexually explicit scenes and asking for thoughts about sex-writing in general. This post will dwell on a more peripheral issue - age and writing in fandom (specifically inspired by this post, picked up by metafandom.)
